thanks for the memories

i was browsing in the basement for some construction paper and found a few interesting things.
this is an old polaroid of my brother, clearly feeding some sort of animal in a falling apart frame
it's cute, and i love old photographs, especially polaroids, so i'm keeping it
after that, i found some documents from the NAVY when he entered having to do with some insurance or something. if he died while in it, the NAVY would pay the principal people listed and if those were dead, it would go to the contingent people. i was the first person, and he said to give me 75%, then 25% to our mother.
i was only 11. to think he actually cared about me most back then, when we really didn't get along ever. see, i was the baby of the family and he was the fuck up, so our parents were unfair, but he brought some of it on himself.
i always felt bad back then, but i was too young to really do anything.

fortunately, we get along now. his third son is on the way, already late. i'm about to be thrice an aunt. i love those guys.

sneak preview of what tomorrow holds
